Adina S. Fischer, MD, PhD
FoundeR, California Resilience Psychiatry

Welcome!

I am a Stanford-trained psychiatrist and psychotherapist licensed in California. Working with my patients in private practice and witnessing their journeys of growth give my work most meaning.

California Resilience Psychiatry was created to support and empower members of the Stanford community – highly motivated students, physicians-in-training, and alumni – to navigate mental health, career and interpersonal challenges.

With specialized training and expertise in psychodynamic psychotherapy, positive psychology and psychopharmacology, my team and I deliver personalized and evidence-based treatments.

These include diagnostic evaluations, medication management, lifestyle modifications, and psychotherapy treatments for a broad range of mental health conditions.

During sessions, we will work to process and understand past experiences, present circumstances and future goals, psychological symptoms and existential questions in order to overcome symptoms of burnout, depression, and anxiety, and cultivate more joy, fulfillment, presence and meaning.

Let's work together to cultivate meaning and fulfillment in your life.

Dr. David Spelber

David Spelber, MD

I am a Stanford-trained, board certified adult psychiatrist licensed in California and Texas. My practice is centered around providing psychotherapy--attachment and interpersonal-focused psychodynamic approaches--in addition to medication management to help treat symptoms of depression, anxiety, grief, stress and to help foster self-exploration, personal growth and cultivate healthy relationships.

I enjoy working with undergraduate and graduate students as well as others navigating the challenges of early adulthood, the pressures of academia or other professional pursuits, and life transitions more broadly.

I completed my undergraduate studies at Columbia University, medical school at University of Texas San Antonio followed by psychiatry residency at Stanford. After completing my residency I worked as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Dell Medical School in Austin before starting my private practice in 2022.

My approach is a patient-centered and collaborative one in which we work together to identify therapeutic goals that meet your needs and will allow you to thrive.
